I’ve been building on the web for over twenty years and I want to share my hard-earned knowledge and skills with you. I want to help build amazing things for you, your patrons, customers, friends, and neighbors.
I’m currently available for remote positions on a contract, part-, or full-time basis.
I am focused on building accessible, user-friendly websites and web applications that serve diverse audiences. I prioritize progressive enhancement and clear, maintainable code because I believe that the web should work for everyone.
I believe in making heirloom-quality software that doesn’t need to be scrapped and replaced every few years.
I don’t work on or with anything involving “AI” (LLMs, generative AI), military or police of any kind, fossil fuels or their promotion, or any blockchain-related technology (such as Bitcoin).
I won’t work on anything or with anyone that is involved in causing or perpetuating genocide.
TL;DR nothing created by Facebook/Meta.
I’ve been remote-only for over half of my 20+ year tenure as a web developer. I’m far happier and do far better work in my own space (with my cats!). My little spot in rural Vermont is where I am and where I will remain (other than periodic in-person meetings as warranted).
